• Releases methoprene only in water – apply Aquaprene to dry sites weeks before flooding; the active ingredient works when flooding occurs, often on multiple broods

Target-specific

Unlike conventional pesticides, Aquaprene formulations contain methoprene, an insect growth regulator (IGR) that interferes with normal mosquito metamorphosis between the larval and adult stages. Methoprene keeps mosquito larvae alive and available as waterfowl food, yet prevents them from developing into biting adults.  Ultimately, it decreases the number of annoying mosquitoes without disrupting the food chain. Methoprene has the industry’s lowest toxicity rating and, with its target-specific action, won’t affect fish, waterfowl, mammals and beneficial insects.
